Smart Gallery - Quick Tutorial

Step 1 - Enter your Admin Area

1. Click 'Administration' on your website page menu.

2. Enter your User name and Password and click 'OK'

Here you see your Home Administration Area. It's from here you manage your gallery.

Step 2 - Set Up Image (Product) Categories

3. Click 'Manage categories' in the left menu. You need to enter your categories - add a category name in the 'Category' field. Next type your text in the Description fields. 'Brief Description' appears in your website gallery's list of categories - 'Gallery Description' appears in that particular product area.

4. Add a relevant image for this category - click 'Browse' at the right of 'Category Image' and select your image.

5. Click 'Save Changes' and this category is now added to your list of image (product) categories.

To delete a category from the list you create, select the category from the 'Existing Categories' field at the top - then click 'Delete Category' at the bottom of the page.

Step 3 - Add Images (Products)

This is where you add individual images (products) to your categories. A category you have set up will not appear in your website gallery unless you have added an image (product) to the category.

6. Click 'Add images' in the left menu. Use the 'Browse' button for your 'Image' and 'Thumbnail image' to select your product images (the same image can be used for both). Type in your product image description in the 'Caption' field. Select what category this product image belongs to from the 'Image category' drop down field.

You can upload 5 products to your gallery at any one time.

7. Click 'Add images' at the bottom of the page to add the product images to your gallery. A successful upload message will appear once complete.

Step 4 - Manage Images (Products)

8. Click 'Manage images' in the left menu. Select a category from the drop down field and click 'Go to Category'.

9. Here you can select how to display each product image within your categories. Click the relevant box to check or uncheck your choices. You can delete an individual product image from your gallery by checking the 'delete' box.

DON'T FORGET to click 'update' at the bottom of the page to save your selections.

Click 'Logout' in the left menu to exit your Administration Area.
